Jury comment: “We have chosen a project based on a true story that knits together fashion with female empowerment in a rural meets international setting, making it as relevant today as it was then, backed with a soundtrack that does the same. The winner is Wool”. The eight projects seeking collaborative partnerships took part in the TV Beats Co-Financing market. The international jury, who selected the winner, included Cia Edström, head of TV Drama Vision, Sweden, Marc Lorber, Founder and Consultant at The Art of Coporduction, UK and Clementine Trolong-Baily, Representatives of the Pilot Programme for Series Co-Porductions od the Council of Europe, France. Jury comment: “The TV Drama Vision Select Award, presented by the Göteborg Film Festival, is an invitation for a series in development to be showcased on stage at the Draken Cinema during TV Drama Vision at the end of January. This year, we have chosen a story that blends supernatural mystery, climate-change thriller and a tale intertwining the mythological worlds of Iceland and the Ebro Delta in Catalonia. The winner is Dark Waters.” The selection was made from all the pitches including TV Beats Co-Financing Market, Serial Bridges Baltics and MidPoint Series Launch. Cia Edström, Head of TV Drama Vision, selected the winner. In addition, for the second consecutive year, also Public Favourite Awards were handed out. But this story is told as a drama-comedy and we believe the tone is just right for this subject. We believe that the all female ensemble, offering drama and chaos but finally support and friendship, will be a pleasure to watch. The play has already travelled the world – now it’s time for the series to do the same. The winner is (maybe you already guessed it), Therapies!” The jury included Dominika Erhart-Braná, Industry Programme Coordinator at Serial Killer Festival, Czechia Erik Pack, SVP of Global Co-Productions at Boat Rocker Studios, UK Anna Ruohonen, Screenwriter of the 2025 Co-Production Development Award-winning project “The Women That I Think of at Night,” Finland.
